Why use this unique Dog Nail File?

Our dog nail file uses a very different approach to nail care for dogs.
If your dog does not tolerate traditional nail trimming devices such as dog nail clippers, dog nail grinders or dog nail files, the DiggerDog Nail File could be the solution. The dog learns how to file down its own, more problematic front nails.

How does it work?
Step 1

Place the dog’s favourite treat into the food compartment leaving it open and let your dog eat the treat. Repeat this several times so your dog learns that there will always be food in there.

Put the treat in again but this time close the lid and hold the handle to remain in control. Leave a small gap in the lid to encourage your dog to scratch.

Step 3

While pointing at the file, use the same words - “scratch”, “get it”, “where is it” etc. As soon as the dog touches the file surface with its paw, immediately open the lid and let the dog eat the food.

Praise and repeat the steps to reinforce the scratching. Make sure you have fun. This should be an enjoyable experience for you and your furry friend.
